Minnie asked, “Can you tell what’s going on?”
Wang Zhisheng, trying to appear clever, replied, “I guess the Starshine Club is hosting some special event today, and you can get in even without a membership card. He Haoxuan must have heard some insider tip from someone and took advantage of the loophole. Who would have thought that He Haoxuan is so cunning, knowing how to use the situation to his benefit?”
“Is that really the case?” Minnie was surprised. “Zhisheng, does that mean we can go inside and take a look too?”
After all, she also wanted to see the legendary, mysterious club of Qingshan City. Just the fact that the lowest membership card cost a million was enough for her to boast about it back at school for quite some time.
“Of course we can. Just follow me,” Wang Zhisheng said indifferently, puffing up his chest as he strode forward.
When they reached the entrance, the guard stopped them. “Please show your membership cards.”
“Are you blind? Do I look like someone who needs a membership card?” Wang Zhisheng deliberately shouted.
Just now, He Haoxuan had shouted the same way, and the guards had let him in.
Therefore, Wang Zhisheng made sure to shout even louder than He Haoxuan, thinking that would draw more attention and put He Haoxuan to shame.
“You, you—” The guard stared unblinkingly at Wang Zhisheng, as if afraid to miss something.
This time, the guard was completely alert, carefully checking if Wang Zhisheng was someone important.
But Brother Yue shoved the guard aside and snapped, “Are you confused? Didn’t Brother Qiang tell us just now? Apart from Mr. He, there’s no one else we need to make special exceptions for.”
“So, Brother Yue, are you saying this guy is trying to cause trouble at Starshine Club?” The guard grew angrier as he spoke.
He had been annoyed earlier but dared not vent it on He Haoxuan.
Now, with Wang Zhisheng insulting them for being blind, he was not going to hold back.
“You’d better behave yourself, or I’ll give you a beating,” the guard shouted at Wang Zhisheng.
Enraged, Wang Zhisheng thought: if that pauper He Haoxuan could get in, why couldn’t he? He was a man of means!
“Let me in right now, or you’ll regret it!” Wang Zhisheng yelled.
The guard, barely containing his temper, asked, “I’ll ask you one last time—do you have a membership card?”
“I have your sister’s membership card. Now get out of my way!” Wang Zhisheng snapped.
But before he could work up another bout of anger, the guard leaped up and kicked him squarely in the chest.

“Ow!” Wang Zhisheng crashed to the ground, crying out in pain.
Brother Yue lunged forward, grabbed Wang Zhisheng in a submission hold, pressing his face to the ground with his backside sticking high in the air.
“How can you just beat people up like that?” Minnie shouted anxiously.
Brother Yue sneered, “Our Starshine Club only admits people with membership cards. If you try to force your way in, we won’t let you off.”
With that, Brother Yue punched Wang Zhisheng again.
“But didn’t someone just go in without a membership card? Why can’t we?” Minnie demanded.
Brother Yue smiled, too lazy to answer such a foolish question.
How could Mr. He be compared to the likes of them? Not only could he come and go as he pleased—even if he set fire to the Starshine Club, no one here would dare complain.
After the guards gave Wang Zhisheng a thorough beating, leaving his eyes swollen shut, they finally let him go.
Minnie climbed into the Mercedes, fuming. “Wang Zhisheng, what was all that about? Why could Li Qingwan and her friends go in, but we couldn’t? You’re so useless.”
“I’m as useless as your sister,” Wang Zhisheng shot back, equally furious.
Ever since he’d listened to Minnie and tried to embarrass Li Qingwan, things had never gone his way. Instead, he kept getting humiliated by He Haoxuan and ended up in more and more trouble himself.
With a resounding “smack, smack,” Wang Zhisheng slapped Minnie twice across the face. “Get lost!”

Inside the club, Li Qingwan found it all very strange but kept quiet, staying close to He Haoxuan.
A beautiful waitress led the way before He Haoxuan, guiding them into a luxurious private room.
The finely decorated room made Xiao Juan and the others exclaim in delight, “Wow, I never imagined Starshine Club would be so magnificent! Just look at that carpet, and those leather sofas—amazing!”
Li Qingwan nodded silently. Though she had been to many clubs before, none compared to Starshine Club.
“Sir, what would you like to order for drinks and food?” the waitress asked respectfully.
He Haoxuan called Li Qingwan over, “Order whatever you like.”
When Li Qingwan opened the menu, her eyes widened in shock. “This is way too expensive!”
Some of the liquors cost over ten thousand each, and those weren’t even the most expensive ones. How could she dare order anything?

“Don’t worry, I’ll cover it,” He Haoxuan said with a smile.
Li Qingwan shot him a glare and muttered, “Would it kill you not to brag? Since Minnie and the others can’t get in, there’s no need for us to keep pretending.”
She turned to the waitress, “I only have ten thousand. Please order for me within that limit, and stop once it reaches ten thousand, okay?”
The waitress looked uncertainly at He Haoxuan.
What was going on? The bill for this private room was supposed to be complimentary—why was Mr. He’s friend saying this?
Seeing Li Qingwan’s reluctance, He Haoxuan promptly ordered some of the best food and drinks, urging the waitress to bring them quickly.
“He Haoxuan, are you out of your mind?” Li Qingwan scowled. “I don’t have that kind of money—are you going to pay for it?”
“I told you, it’s all complimentary tonight,” He Haoxuan replied.
“Impossible. There’s no such thing as a free meal in this world,” Li Qingwan protested. “Are you planning to sneak out after eating, leaving me here to pay the bill?”
Seeing that telling the truth got him nowhere, He Haoxuan said, “I overheard the staff saying there’s an event tonight—our private room is complimentary.”
“Is that true?” Li Qingwan fixed her gaze on the waitress.
Feeling uneasy, the waitress glanced at He Haoxuan and, seeing his nod, quickly answered, “Yes, everything you order tonight is free of charge.”
“Hahaha, that’s fantastic! Xiao Juan, come here—order whatever you want, it’s all on me tonight!” Li Qingwan exclaimed excitedly.
No wonder He Haoxuan could bring them in without a membership card—it was just a special event at Starshine Club.
Hmph, she’d thought He Haoxuan had some great connections, but it turned out to be pure luck.
Relieved, Li Qingwan ordered a mountain of food and drinks, and soon everyone was celebrating.
He Haoxuan, however, didn’t care for this kind of atmosphere and sat quietly in a corner.
After a few rounds, Xiao Juan noticed He Haoxuan’s isolation and whispered to Li Qingwan, “Qingwan, aren’t you going to keep your boyfriend company?”
“Hmph, what’s so special about him?” Li Qingwan snorted. If she didn’t have use for He Haoxuan, she’d have kicked him out ages ago—why keep him around any longer?
