The waiter nearby glanced at Bailu, secretly laughing at how ignorant this beauty was. Not just anyone could come to Dragon Soaring Villa’s Room A, and even the wait staff here were the very best the villa had to offer.

The lowest daily charge for this place was a hundred thousand, not ten thousand, and it wasn’t simply a matter of having money—one also needed the owner’s approval.

This woman thought Room A was inferior to Rooms 1-20; how amusing.

Li Qingying walked over to Bailu and whispered, “Bailu, it’s really hard to book a room here. He had to pull some strings to get this one. Please don’t be picky, all right?”

“Fine.” Bailu shrugged helplessly.

To be honest, just being able to dine at Dragon Soaring Villa was already a privilege. As for whether it was a backup room or not quite as good, she no longer cared.

Suddenly, Bailu turned to the waiter and asked, “Excuse me, is the rate for this room different from Rooms 1-20?”

“It’s different,” the waiter replied, nodding. How could a hundred thousand be the same as ten thousand?

Bailu smiled with satisfaction. “That’s good, then.” If the usual rate was ten thousand, a backup room would probably be around five thousand.

After all, she could say she’d been to Dragon Soaring Villa, boast about it later, and even save quite a bit of money. Why not?

The waiter went inside to take care of things, while Li Qingying and Bailu strolled by the lakeside.

A gentle breeze blew, and Bailu felt completely at ease. “Qingying, I wish I could live here every day.”

“So do I, but it’s too expensive. Ten thousand a day, that’s three hundred thousand a month. And it’s not just about money—you can’t stay here unless you’re approved,” Li Qingying sighed.

She’d heard others say that once, a businessman tried to book a year in advance, offering four million straight up, but the owner refused, saying that wasn’t how things worked.

Many wealthy people came here, bringing friends along. Sometimes, just one visit could cost tens of thousands.

As He Haoxuan was about to order, Li Qingying turned to him and said, “Why don’t you cook yourself tonight?”

“All right,” He Haoxuan agreed.

Bailu exclaimed in shock, “What? Qingying, we’re here to enjoy ourselves—how can you ask your husband to cook? I don’t want to eat anything unpalatable!”

“That’s not it, Bailu. He cooks even better than the villa’s chefs,” Li Qingying replied.

Seeing Li Qingying speak up for him, He Haoxuan said, “How about this, dear: I’ll make two dishes, and we’ll have the chefs here do the rest, all right?”

“That sounds good,” Li Qingying nodded, pulling Bailu away to have some fun.

There were attendants by the lakeside, ready to bring them anything they wanted to eat. Fishing rods were set up nearby, and Bailu clamored to try her hand at fishing.

By dinner, though there were only three of them, six dishes and a soup were set out—enough for six people.

Bailu tasted every dish, finally pointing to the two dishes in front of Li Qingying. “Wow, Qingying, these two are amazing!”

He Haoxuan smiled quietly to himself; he had made those two.

After they were full, Bailu patted her stomach and cried, “Oh no, I ate so much—what if I get fat?”

“Bailu, you ate so much of what he cooked. How do you feel?” Li Qingying asked.

“Come on, Qingying, as if he could really cook! Everything here is delicious, but those two dishes were the best—I had more than half. Dragon Soaring Villa lives up to its reputation; I’ve never tasted anything so good,” Bailu replied.

Li Qingying laughed. “I have those two dishes at home all the time—they really are that good.”

“Nonsense,” Bailu scoffed, refusing to believe her.

Looking around, Bailu couldn’t help but admire the surroundings. “I never expected even the backup rooms here to be so luxurious. And that porcelain vase on display looks just like something from the Ming dynasty.”

With that, she got up and went over to examine the vase more closely.

The waiter secretly looked down on her—everything in Dragon Soaring Villa was genuine, never a replica.

Some of the porcelain in Room A dated back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, and was extremely valuable.

The vase in the beauty’s hands, for instance, had cost the owner more than three million.

But just then, Bailu’s grip slipped and the vase crashed to the floor.

With a sharp crack, the vase shattered.

“Ah!” Bailu’s face turned as white as a sheet. She fully understood that breaking something meant having to pay for it.

The waiter’s expression changed dramatically, and she hurried over. “This is terrible, that vase was the most valuable item in this room!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll pay whatever it costs,” Bailu steadied herself, thinking that hotel vases were usually just for decoration—cheap ones cost a few dozen, expensive ones a few hundred.

“That vase was bought by our owner for more than three million. I don’t even know how much it’s worth now,” the waiter said anxiously, immediately calling the manager over the radio.

Such an expensive loss was beyond what the staff could handle.

“What? Over three million?” Bailu screamed, “That’s impossible—are you saying this is an antique?”

After explaining things to the manager, the waiter turned to Bailu, “Miss, I’m not lying. You can check the certificate beside the vase. It’s a genuine Ming dynasty relic.”

Only then did Bailu notice several authentication certificates next to the shelf. The Ming dynasty vase she had just broken had cost over three million, and the nearby Qing dynasty Sun Wukong porcelain figure was worth more than a million.

“You’re lying!” Bailu shouted. “Are you saying the antiques in this room are worth tens of millions?”

The waiter nodded. “Yes, this room is different from the others. The antiques here are worth tens of millions. Not just any guest can enter.”

“How much are the antiques in Rooms 1-20 worth? Billions?” Bailu pressed.

The waiter shook her head. “No, the antiques in Rooms 1-20 are only worth a few million.”

Li Qingying was stunned too. “Waiter, isn’t this supposed to be a backup room? How can it be more valuable than Rooms 1-20?”

“Miss Li, that’s a common misconception. Room A is actually the most prestigious room here at Dragon Soaring Villa. It’s not open to the public. Only the most distinguished guests are allowed to use it,” the waiter explained respectfully.

Li Qingying was currently the legal representative of Dragon Soaring Villa; how could the staff not show her respect?

“You’re making things up. We couldn’t even book Rooms 1-20, let alone some extra expensive special room!” Bailu retorted. “I’m telling you, I studied law. If you keep trying to deceive us, I’ll sue you!”
