When they arrived at the airport, Song Chengyi wanted to help carry Luo Yixia’s luggage.

But Luo Yixia snatched it away. “I’ll carry it myself.”

Song Chengyi pressed his lips together and let her be.

Both of them dragged their large suitcases ahead.

The flight was still half an hour away, so the four of them sat in the waiting lounge.

Luo Yixia sat far away from Song Chengyi.

Yu Wenjing moved over and whispered, “You child, it’s one thing to argue with me at home, but how can you quarrel with Chengyi now, especially with your mother-in-law here?”

“I’m not the one starting trouble with him, he ignored me first.” Luo Yixia turned her head aside.

“When you get on the plane, talk to Chengyi. You’re all going on a trip—do you understand?” Yu Wenjing pinched Luo Yixia.

“Yes, yes, I know.” Luo Yixia replied absent-mindedly, more concerned about the pain from the pinch.

As long as she could brush it off, once on the plane, who could control her?

Zhou Yun sat down beside Song Chengyi.

“Chengyi, why are you having a disagreement with Yixia? She’s just a young girl and doesn’t know any better. You need to be more tolerant of her. Besides, Yixia is so well-behaved and obedient. What could you possibly be dissatisfied with?”

“Mom, there’s nothing going on, please don’t worry about it,” Song Chengyi said. He wasn’t really angry with her, just a bit annoyed and didn’t want to talk right now.

And that little girl—when she got up in the morning, her temper was fierce, and she was stubbornly at odds with him, acting as if she was angry too.

Her little face was puffed up, making him almost want to pinch it.

So the two remained silent all the way onto the plane.

Luo Yixia was well prepared, putting on her headphones to listen to music.

A good student is really different—even on a plane, she was reading, Luo Yixia thought with a sneer in her heart.

She had completely forgotten how she used to be obsessed with Song Chengyi for just these qualities.

Luo Yixia sat on the aisle. When Song Chengyi came out from the restroom, Luo Yixia turned sideways, making absolutely sure not to touch him.

Before, she would cling to Song Chengyi, and if she happened to brush against him, she’d be happy for ages.

As expected—women… ha.

Song Chengyi saw it all, but said nothing.

There was no other reason, just that he knew someone with such poor grades couldn’t possibly know Japanese.

They both ate lunch on the plane.

During the meal, the flight attendants passed by several times, glancing at Song Chengyi more than once.

Luo Yixia’s annoyance flared up again—couldn’t he wear a mask? Why did he have to be so conspicuous? Was he afraid no one would notice him?

The older woman in front even craned her neck several times to look at Song Chengyi.

Finally unable to hold back, she struck up a conversation.

“Young man, are you heading to Japan too?”

Luo Yixia quietly turned off her music, but kept her headphones on.

Song Chengyi nodded.

The old lady immediately perked up. “How old are you, young man?”

Luo Yixia thought, Song Chengyi usually talks so little, it’s surprising he even acknowledged you—a nod is more than you could expect.

But Song Chengyi answered, “I’m twenty-four,” and he actually smiled—a rare sight. Where had his usual poker face gone?

“Have you graduated?”

“Not yet, I’m only a junior.”

Finally, the old lady revealed what she’d been wanting to say all along. “My daughter is a sophomore at A University. Where do you study, young man?”

“I’m at A University as well.”

“What a coincidence! Let me show you my daughter’s photo, she’s very pretty.”

She immediately pulled out her daughter’s picture for Song Chengyi to see.

And Song Chengyi actually leaned over to look—his usual aloofness nowhere to be seen.

There were plenty of girls at school chasing him, but she had never seen him show any interest before.
