Wang Jing and Alice arrived at the bespoke clothing store as if fleeing from danger.
Inside, the shop assistant stared in shock at the two who had rushed in, as well as the dense crowd gathered outside.
While the clerk was at a loss, the store manager came out with a broad smile and ushered them into the back office.
“Mr. Wang, it’s truly an honor to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself—I’m Mei Liu, the owner and the bespoke designer of this store. May I ask if you’re here to order a custom piece or to purchase something off the rack?” the attentive Liu Mei inquired.
“It’s not for me; it’s for her. And it must be ready by tomorrow afternoon. I wonder if that’s possible, Ms. Liu?” Wang Jing gestured toward Alice.
“Oh! Miss Alice, I often see you in the sky. Your figure sparks countless ideas in my mind. Your physique is simply perfect. May I ask what kind of clothing you prefer, and what style you like?” Liu Mei said excitedly, gesturing animatedly at Alice.
“We’re attending the opening ceremony of an expo tomorrow. There might be some trouble, so the outfit needs to allow me to move freely to record things. I prefer blue, but white is acceptable too,” Alice replied.
“Hmm! That’s a bit challenging, but I already have a plan. Please wait a moment while I draw up a design for you,” Liu Mei said, picking up a tablet from the desk and swiftly sketching on its screen.
Before long, a colored rendering appeared. The model in the image looked exactly like Alice, down to her hairstyle.
The dress was a tight evening gown with a plunging neckline and a high slit on one side, revealing Alice’s exquisite left leg in full. The bodice perfectly showcased her flawless figure.
The low neckline highlighted a woman’s most alluring features, while the fitted design and high slit balanced elegance with the freedom needed for vigorous movement.
The color scheme centered on blue with white accents, giving the wearer a youthful purity that, combined with the daring neckline and slit, added a touch of allure and fiery charm that was utterly captivating.
“It’s absolutely stunning. I love it!” Alice exclaimed, already imagining herself at the ceremony tomorrow.
Everyone—men, women, old and young—would turn their eyes toward her.

Wang Jing nodded in approval at the design and then asked, “How much?”
“You tell me. I couldn’t possibly charge you. It’s enough that Alice is wearing it without me asking for money,” Liu Mei replied with great humility.
“That won’t do. The price should be what it should be!” Wang Jing said sternly.
Seeing Wang Jing’s serious expression, Liu Mei also became serious. “Mr. Wang, if you want to talk about money, then we need a proper conversation today.”
“A piece, especially a luxury item, never has a fixed value. It’s not determined by how many people like it.”
“For example, this dress I designed for Miss Alice costs little in materials. But once Alice wears it, its value changes. It’s not just about Alice’s own worth, but how this dress perfectly brings out her beauty.”
“In my view, beauty appreciated by only a few is merely self-entertainment. True beauty is that which the majority recognize. That kind of beauty is valuable. So, Mr. Wang, in your eyes, how much is Miss Alice’s beauty worth?”
When Liu Mei asked this, Alice’s eyes fixed intently on Wang Jing.
Inside, Wang Jing felt overwhelmed, as if a thousand wild horses were galloping through his mind. That question was like being asked whom he’d save if he and his mother fell into a river—both choices fatal.
After a long pause, Wang Jing finally uttered two words: “Priceless.”
Hearing this, a smile crept onto Liu Mei’s lips. Then, in a sincere tone, she said, “Mr. Wang, a woman’s beauty, like time, can never be measured by money. Time may take everything, but it can never take away the most beautiful things in people’s hearts.”
Hearing this, Alice’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Wang Jing, while Wang Jing squirmed uncomfortably, regretting his earlier lofty words that had now trapped him.
Wang Jing nodded resignedly and used the neural wave reading device behind his ear to send his location coordinates to the Transformer armor stationed at their temporary base.
Soon, the Transformer armor arrived at the shopping center where Wang Jing was.
Looking around, Wang Jing noticed a window beside the office. Ignoring Liu Mei, who was still chattering, he stood and opened the window, allowing the Transformer armor outside to enter.

Seeing the flying armor enter, Liu Mei gasped in surprise—it was the first time she’d seen the armor Wang Jing wore up close, having only seen it on television or from the sky before.
“Ms. Liu, we still have business to attend to. Someone will come by tomorrow afternoon to pick up the dress,” Wang Jing said as he donned the armor.
“Please wait!” Liu Mei said, picking up her tablet and aiming it at Alice. “Miss Alice, please raise your arms. I need to collect your body measurements.”
Alice raised her arms, allowing Liu Mei to circle around her with the tablet.
“All done, Miss Alice. Tomorrow night, you will be the most dazzling gem at the event!” Liu Mei said confidently.
“Thank you!” Alice said, then stepped forward to embrace Wang Jing before flying away with him.
After watching them leave, Liu Mei danced excitedly out of the office and toward the store entrance, still surrounded by a crowd.
She called to the staff to open the doors.
As soon as they opened, the crowd surged inside. Liu Mei shouted, “Everyone, Wang Jing and Alice have left, but Miss Alice ordered a custom evening gown here. You’ll see it tomorrow night. To celebrate their visit and purchase, all clothing in the store is 20% off today!”
Hearing this, the pressing crowd finally slowed.
After calming the crowd, Liu Mei returned alone to her office, pouring all her energy into making the dress. If it could amaze everyone, her fame would shoot to the top as a premier designer.
Then, celebrities and dignitaries would commission her. She would earn a fortune and become a truly wealthy woman!
Just thinking about it filled Liu Mei with excitement she could hardly contain.
