Chapter 55: Lost Both the Lady and the Army
Lin Youqin took out a red pill from her bag and shoved it into Ling Tian’s mouth. Ling Tian, who was pretending to be unconscious, immediately sensed that this was a potent aphrodisiac, far stronger than the usual blue pill. Without hesitation, he began circulating the Yin-Yang Technique to neutralize the drug. Such medicines were all of yang nature, easily counteracted or even completely dissolved by yin energy.
Seeing Ling Tian swallow the pill, Lin Youqin’s lips curled into a smile. She splashed some water onto his face, as if to rouse him. The effect of the drug was nothing to him; Ling Tian opened his eyes and grinned at her. “Beauty, why are there only the two of us here? Are you planning to have your way with me?”
“Stop pretending. You can’t hold it in anymore, can you? Tonight, I’ll keep you company and have some fun,” Lin Youqin replied, her face full of smug satisfaction. She was certain the drug must be taking effect, and imagined Liu Zihao was also getting what he wanted by now.
Looking at her seductive smile, Ling Tian really wanted to punish her then and there. But the time was not right—Lin Youya was in danger. At that thought, Ling Tian struck without warning, thrusting two silver needles into Lin Youqin’s lower abdomen.
“You!” Lin Youqin tried to speak, but a sharp pain shot through her belly and her limbs went limp, leaving her collapsed on the floor, utterly powerless.
“What did you do to me?” she asked in fear, looking at Ling Tian. Only now did she realize she had underestimated him. She had fed him the pill, so how could he be perfectly fine?
Ling Tian only smiled wickedly and didn’t answer. Instead, he took her bag, found a small bottle, and drew out two bright red pills—the very same kind Lin Youqin had given him. He opened the bottle, sniffed it, then stuffed both pills into Lin Youqin’s mouth. With a gentle but firm push, she swallowed them.
“You—you made me take two? Do you even know what this drug does?” Lin Youqin was furious. She wasn’t afraid of Ling Tian taking advantage of her—after all, that had been her plan. But being forced to take two pills, she feared for her own safety.
“I know. Don’t worry, I’ll help you later. But right now, I have to save Youya first.” Ling Tian couldn’t help glancing at Lin Youqin’s ample chest, swallowing hard. If it weren’t for Lin Youya’s danger, he’d have taken this woman right there.
“You—you knew all along? You weren’t unconscious?” Lin Youqin’s voice trembled with fear. This man was terrifying—her schemes had all failed, and she had lost on every front.
Seeing her frightened expression, Ling Tian’s spirits soared. He didn’t bother to answer, instead smacking her firmly on the rear. The sensation was surprisingly pleasant.
“Ah!” Lin Youqin cried out, the pain mingling with an odd pleasure that made her body tingle. The drug was beginning to take effect; her eyes turned languid and dreamy.
Ling Tian was well aware of her condition, but he left the private room at once. He had to find Lin Youya—if he was a moment late, Liu Zihao might take advantage of her.
...
Liu Zihao looked down at the unconscious Lin Youya, feeling a surge of satisfaction mixed with disappointment. He, Liu Zihao, was seen by all as a prince charming, desired by countless women. Yet, he could not win Lin Youya’s heart, resorting to such underhanded means to possess her body.
He didn’t rush to wake her. Instead, he carried her to the sofa and laid her flat. The couch was wide and soft, more comfortable than a standard single bed. Liu Zihao gazed at the slumbering Lin Youya: her long, slightly curled lashes, petal-like lips, flawless cheeks, delicate figure, graceful curves, and slender legs.
He stared for three or four minutes before taking out the red pill Lin Youqin had given him. He fed it to Lin Youya, then dampened a towel to gently wipe her face. Lin Youya slowly began to wake.
“Brother Zihao? Why am I lying here? What are you doing? Where are Ling Tian and Sister Qin?” Lin Youya asked, confused to find Liu Zihao wiping her face.
“You suddenly fainted. They went out to get medicine for you,” Liu Zihao lied smoothly. Of course, if someone had really fainted, they should be taken to the hospital, not left while someone went to buy medicine. But Lin Youya didn’t question his words; she was too distracted by her own discomfort—a heat spreading through her body, her chest burning with fire.
“Brother Zihao, I don’t feel well,” Lin Youya murmured. The discomfort grew worse, and most confusing of all, she found herself longing for Liu Zihao’s embrace, a craving she couldn’t understand. Did she like him after all? But she had never felt that way before.
“What’s wrong? Your face is all flushed—are you hot?” Liu Zihao was in no hurry. He knew the potency of the drug; Lin Youya would not escape him. She was his prey, and he intended to savor every moment.
“Yes, I’m hot. Brother Zihao, could you please leave me alone for a while?” Lin Youya was afraid she might lose control and throw herself at him, so she pleaded with him to go.
“You’re not well. How could I leave you alone? Let me give you a massage—it might help. I’ve learned a bit of Chinese medicine,” Liu Zihao offered, though in truth, he only knew the basic massages from bathhouses.
“No, there’s no need,” Lin Youya replied hastily, not wanting him to touch her. She shook her head repeatedly.
“When you were little, I used to hold you all the time. Now that you’ve grown, you treat your brother like a stranger. Let me give you a massage.” As he spoke, Liu Zihao placed his hand on her shoulder.
Bang! At that moment, the door was flung open. Ling Tian burst in, just in time to see Liu Zihao’s hand on Lin Youya’s shoulder. Even though Lin Youya’s clothing was still neat, Ling Tian was furious.
“Liu Zihao, get your damn hands off her!” Ling Tian roared, striding over in a few steps and kicking Liu Zihao hard.
Liu Zihao was sent sprawling, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Ling Tian’s kick was merciless—any man would do the same if he saw another about to violate the woman he cared for.
“Ling Tian, why did you hit Brother Zihao?” Lin Youya forced herself to speak, suppressing her discomfort.
“Still calling him Brother Zihao? This man drugged you! If I had been a moment later, you’d have been at his mercy!” For the first time, Ling Tian felt Lin Youya was truly naïve—she was helping the very person who betrayed her. He realized he would have to be more watchful in the future.
“Brother Zihao, did you really drug me?” Lin Youya looked at Liu Zihao in disbelief. She didn’t want to believe it, but her body’s strange reactions made it impossible to deny. Seeing Ling Tian made her want to throw herself at him, her self-control nearly gone.
“Ling Tian, you’d better get out, or you’ll regret it! I’m not someone you can afford to cross!” Liu Zihao, furious and humiliated, glared at Ling Tian. In his eyes, Ling Tian was just the son of a nouveau riche, not in his league at all.
“That’s my line. You’d better disappear, or you’ll regret it even more,” Ling Tian retorted. He watched Lin Youya struggling to control herself and grew anxious—if she lost control here, Liu Zihao might see everything. He needed to end this quickly.
Liu Zihao wasn’t about to be cowed by Ling Tian’s words. He staggered to his feet, intent on fighting, but Ling Tian gave him no chance. As soon as Liu Zihao approached, Ling Tian kicked him down again.
This time, the blow was even fiercer. Liu Zihao spat out a mouthful of blood.
A wise man knows when to retreat. Liu Zihao realized he was no match for Ling Tian today. Revenge could wait—he would not win Lin Youya tonight. He shot Ling Tian a venomous glare, then limped from the room without another word.
Ling Tian snorted and shut the door behind him. He knew he had made an enemy of Liu Zihao, but he didn’t care. In this world, the more you try to avoid trouble, the more others will bully you. The best strategy was to make everyone fear you, to ensure no one dared cross you.
Now, only Ling Tian and Lin Youya were left in the room. Lin Youya was on the verge of losing control. She slipped off her dress, revealing her creamy bra and panties, her alluring body writhing helplessly, making Ling Tian’s heart race.
“Ling Tian, was I really drugged?” Lin Youya asked, her eyes hazy.
“Yes, but don’t worry. I’ll help you. You’re my wife—sooner or later, you’ll be mine. I’ll take responsibility for you.” Though Ling Tian had never intended to win Lin Youya by such despicable means, since Liu Zihao had created this opportunity, he was reluctant to let it pass.
“Ling Tian, please, not now. I know you’re a miracle doctor—you must have a way to help me. Think of something, please.” As she spoke, Lin Youya pressed herself against him, her fair skin flushed an enticing pink.
At her words, Ling Tian sighed inwardly. Once again, his hopes of possessing Lin Youya were dashed. Indeed, as a miracle doctor, he had the skill to neutralize the effects of such a drug—ten times as strong, and he could still handle it.
But Lin Youya was so alluring at this moment. If he simply cured her without taking advantage, was he even a man? Yet, if he seized the opportunity, he’d be no better than a beast, and his reputation as a miracle doctor would be ruined.
It was hard to be a man—harder still to be a good man. If he took Lin Youya’s body now, perhaps he would never win her heart.
