Chapter 128: Sai Huatuo
Ling Tian learned from the scorpion beauty that the mastermind behind the attempt on Lin Youya’s life was Lin Youqin. Naturally, he had to confront Lin Youqin; otherwise, he just couldn’t trust this woman.
“Heh heh, Ling Tian, you really know how to joke. What kind of murder could there be?” Lin Youqin giggled, fluttering her alluring eyes at him.
“I’ve heard someone got jealous over me and planned to kill to silence me,” Ling Tian stepped forward, placing both hands on the desk. Lin Youqin leaned against the desk, with Ling Tian between her.
Seeing Ling Tian’s face, more than ten times handsomer than usual, Lin Youqin swallowed hard and said, “W-what did you say? I don’t understand. Ling Tian, I’ve really missed you these days. Have you missed me too?”
“Sometimes, I’ve thought about you—your body—but that’s not the point. The point is Lin Youya. You twice sent people to deal with her—first to kidnap her and take photos, then to kill her. Lin Youqin, I never expected the mastermind to be you, nor that you’d be such a ruthless woman.” Ling Tian’s words were accompanied by his fingers pinching her chin, pressing lightly until it flushed pale red.
If Lin Youqin hadn’t been intimately involved with him before, if she were a man, Ling Tian would have made him disappear from this earth. But now, he decided to give her a chance to change.
“You? You know everything?” Lin Youqin looked at Ling Tian fearfully. She had been very secretive about this; even when she contacted the Poison Scorpion organization, she hadn’t acted personally. How could Ling Tian have found out?
Seeing Ling Tian’s certainty, she neither denied nor argued.
“Hmm, since you were once my woman, I’ll let this slide this time. But if you ever lay a finger on Lin Youya again, I’ll take your life! Remember that?” Ling Tian tightened his grip, fearing she might not learn her lesson.
Unexpectedly, Lin Youqin didn’t argue. Instead, she suddenly threw herself into Ling Tian’s arms, sobbing. The warmth of her delicate body, the scent of Chanel No. 5—mature and intoxicating—his defenses crumbled instantly.
No matter how wicked a beauty might be, when she cried in a man’s arms, it was hard for him to stay cold. Ling Tian was no exception. Seeing her cry, he quickly set her down on the sofa and began to soothe her helplessly.
“Alright, I won’t take your life. Is that enough? Stop crying. But you really mustn’t hurt Lin Youya anymore.” Ling Tian wasn’t good at comforting women; this was the best he could do.
“Why are you so good to Lin Youya? Why don’t you come to me? I just want to be your woman. As long as you visit me sometimes, that’s enough. Are you really so heartless?” Lin Youqin ignored his words, continuing to question him.
Faced with her questions, Ling Tian felt a headache coming on. He regretted ever being involved with her. Indeed, women’s jealousy was terrifying.
At this moment, Ling Tian somewhat understood the ancient emperor’s feelings—his women fought to the death, and yet who could blame him for not controlling his desires? Take Lin Youqin, lying in his arms like this—any normal man would react, wouldn’t he?
Lin Youqin began unbuttoning Ling Tian’s shirt, tears staining her face as she kissed him. She truly missed this man; no one else could satisfy her. But why did he only come now—and just to question her?
Seeing this, Ling Tian knew she was beyond saving. Was he really that irresistible? Then why hadn’t he won over Lin Youya or Han Bing yet? If those two had even half of Lin Youqin’s passion, he would have already caught them.
When a woman was that forward, it was against nature not to respond. Ling Tian sighed and began unbuttoning her clothes.
So, in the office, behind closed but unlocked doors, the two indulged in passion. Lin Youqin’s cries were quite loud.
Outside, the staff froze hearing the noises, then began whispering.
“What’s wrong with Boss Lin? That handsome guy who went in just now seemed to be bullying her. She looked like she was crying,” one gossipy girl said.
“I’ll go in and save Boss Lin. I’ll beat that man up. She can’t be bullied in the office,” a young, impulsive man declared.
“Oh, you silly kids. They’re just a couple quarreling. You don’t interfere. They’ll make up soon,” an older female employee interrupted.
“Hmm, ah!” Lin Youqin’s gasps and moans carried through the door, and everyone exchanged knowing smiles, admiring the older woman’s wisdom.
After that, the chatter ceased as they returned to work, though productivity certainly suffered.
Ling Tian used his body to make Lin Youqin abandon her plans against Lin Youya. She realized that if she didn’t harm Lin Youya, Ling Tian would spend more time with her. But if she did, Ling Tian might just kill her.
What pleased Lin Youqin most was discovering Lin Youya had never been with Ling Tian, so she gave up her revenge and secretly mocked Lin Youya for being a fool. She didn’t realize what a good man she had and had even pushed him into another woman’s bed.
Afterward, Lin Youqin contentedly held Ling Tian, lying on the spacious sofa with her head on his shoulder. Last time she’d been drugged, but this time she was clear-headed. Ling Tian still felt so good to her. She decided that from now on, whenever he wanted her, she would obey completely.
Ling Tian felt different too. He rarely did this in the office, but seeing how pitifully she’d cried, he thought he might as well hold her longer.
“I have something else to ask you,” Ling Tian said.
“What is it? You’re not going to ask anything unreasonable, are you?” Lin Youqin smiled brightly, feeling wonderful.
“Get me a few bottles of that elixir your company makes. It’s very popular now; someone wants it.” Ling Tian was curious if it was truly that effective.
“Heh, it’s your women wanting it, right? Not my cousin Lin Youya, is it? Haha!” Lin Youqin looked proud, not expecting Ling Tian to come ask for a girl’s cosmetic water.
“It’s a little sister of mine. I said I’m close with you, so I volunteered. What, you won’t be petty and refuse, will you?” Ling Tian chuckled.
“Kiss me once, and I’ll give you a bottle,” Lin Youqin teased.
“If I keep kissing you, won’t you go broke? Fine, ten bottles. Not too many. By the way, you must have someone behind you, right?” Ling Tian suspected there was more to this, as she didn’t have this elixir before. Its success must have a secret.
Lin Youqin smiled and traced circles on his chest. “I do have someone behind me. And that person is your enemy—the one who left my room before you came in.”
“Enemy? You mean that sleazy man? I’ve never seen him. Are you mistaken?” Ling Tian asked, though thinking carefully, that man did seem hostile, and his jade pendant flickered as he passed.
“You, with many women, have many enemies. Most are because of women. That person who just left is the one who gave me this elixir’s formula. He’s also a divine healer, nicknamed Sai Hua Tuo. He’s number four in the Black Dragon Gang—inside they call him Dragon Four; outside, Sai Hua Tuo. You have a grudge against the Black Dragon Gang, right?” Lin Youqin said with a smirk, unconcerned for Ling Tian. If he couldn’t handle the Black Dragon Gang, he wouldn’t be the man she liked. She knew his abilities went beyond the bedroom.
“Number Four, Sai Hua Tuo? So, Dragon Four? Interesting. If that’s true, their boss will die tonight. That’ll probably make them hate me even more,” Ling Tian calculated. The Jin Gang hadn’t even had a funeral yet, and now the Black Dragon Gang’s boss was about to die. The underworld was indeed lively. He thought Zhang Dalin and Zhang Shuai should survive a few more days.
“Ling Tian? Are you going to kill the Black Dragon Gang’s boss tonight?” Lin Youqin asked, surprised. She knew the Black Dragon Gang was a dangerous place and didn’t want him to go alone.
“No need for me to kill him. That Dragon Soul will have a heart attack tonight. Even with Dragon Three, the light-element user, and Dragon Four, this Sai Hua Tuo, it won’t help. And I think Sai Hua Tuo’s just a big fraud; his medical skills are questionable.” Ling Tian had never heard of such a person across lifetimes. If he was truly skilled, Ling Tian would have known.
“Don’t underestimate them. The Black Dragon Gang is allied with Liu Zihao against you. Liu Zihao hates you over Lin Youya’s matter. Be careful,” Lin Youqin warned kindly.
“I already knew about their alliance and dealt with Liu Zihao. Don’t worry, I don’t take those scumbags seriously. As for your elixir, I’ll check it out. If it’s no good, you shouldn’t cooperate with them. Dealing with tigers doesn’t end well.” Ling Tian suspected the elixir might be problematic and planned to study it himself.
