The four newcomers, from their attire and bearing, were clearly of noble origin and distinguished status. Yet Chu Feng gave this little thought. He had encountered many of noble birth, and when it came to rank and position, these people were hardly superior to those he’d met before.

What caught Chu Feng’s attention, however, and made him furrow his brow, was a subtle sense that these four had been watching him for some time, perhaps even since he’d arrived in the city, though he couldn’t quite discern their intentions.

At this moment, a man in blue robes stepped forward, his waist adorned with a belt of purple gold and jade, his hair pinned with an ancient black jade clasp. He clasped his hands in greeting and smiled, saying, “I am Lu Yu’an from the Earth Camp. May I ask your name, brother?”

“Chu Feng,” Chu Feng replied, returning the gesture.

As soon as he spoke, the group’s demeanor shifted, their faces betraying a hint of disdain. It seemed they thought Chu Feng withheld his camp affiliation to avoid embarrassment. Lu Yu’an continued, “So you are not of the Xiao family?”

Chu Feng’s heart stirred. These men were indeed remarkable if they could recognize the Domain Sword on his back. Yet their intentions remained unclear. He replied calmly, “Why would you think I am from the Xiao family? To be honest, I have no connection with them whatsoever.”

The others exchanged glances, as if scheming. Before Lu Yu’an could speak again, a man in white pointed at the sword on Chu Feng’s back and asked, “Then how did you come by the Domain Sword?”

His tone was noticeably colder, whether by nature or due to Chu Feng’s disavowal of any relation to the Xiao family.

Chu Feng smiled faintly, not bothering to conceal anything. “Sharp eyes, indeed. The Domain Sword came to me by chance, though the specifics are best left untold. May I ask what business brings you here?”

Lu Yu’an offered a placid smile. “It is well known that the Domain Sword is one of the rarest treasures of our people, its power unmatched. Even robbed of its divine nature, it remains a priceless weapon. I, Lu, have always enjoyed collecting rare items. Would you consider exchanging it with me? Though the Lu family cannot rival the Ten Great Clans, we are not far behind, and I promise you will be satisfied.”

Chu Feng’s expression darkened. So this was their purpose—truly, their intentions were anything but friendly. As for the Lu family, he dismissed it entirely. He despised those who used their lineage to intimidate and flaunt superiority.

Yet Chu Feng did not react immediately, simply shaking his head and replying coolly, “I appreciate your kindness, but this sword is too important to me. I cannot part with it.”

Lu Yu’an’s face stiffened, though he said nothing. A man in blue sneered, “Don’t be foolish, brother. We are doing this for your own good.”

Chu Feng was amused by their shamelessness. Feigning surprise, he said, “Oh? Is that so? Do enlighten me.”

The blue-robed man snorted, glancing at Chu Feng. “Everyone knows the Domain Sword, though its divine nature is lost, is an heirloom of the Xiao family, granted only to the most likely successor. I’ve never heard of it falling into an outsider’s hands. ‘Obtained by chance,’ you say? You think we don’t see through the ruse?”

“So you mean to say I stole it?” Chu Feng responded, his expression calm and unchanged.

The blue-robed man replied coldly, “Is that not obvious?”

The rest looked at Chu Feng with undisguised contempt, dismissing him entirely.

In truth, the group had noticed the Domain Sword back in Prosperity City. According to their knowledge, the Xiao family rarely carried the sword openly, which had struck them as odd. Still, they had followed Chu Feng discreetly, waiting until he left the city.

Their plan was simple: if the sword’s owner was indeed from the Xiao family, they would seize the chance to forge a connection, recognizing the Xiao clan’s formidable power. If not, they intended to claim the sword for themselves, deciding later whether to return it to the Xiao family or keep it, depending on what they learned.

Lu Yu’an spoke up, “Rest assured, brother. Give us the Domain Sword and we will keep your secret. You’ll be free from danger and generously compensated. Is that not a cause for joy?”

Chu Feng laughed coldly. It was clear these four had decided he was a thief, seeking a convenient excuse to take the sword. He glanced at them, finally fixing his gaze on Lu Yu’an and said, “And what if I refuse?”

Lu Yu’an’s face darkened. He sneered, “Then we’ll do what must be done—rid the world of a thief and reclaim the sword. I’d rather not, but don’t say I didn’t give you a chance.”

“‘Rid the world of a thief and reclaim the sword’—how shameless. Even Mo Chen of the Mo family, and Xiao Fan, the Xiao clan’s heir, aren’t as brazen as you. Compared to you, the Eastern King is almost upright,” Chu Feng said coolly. Pointing at the four, he added coldly, “My sword is not yours to command.”

His words stunned the group. Mo Chen was a renowned talent of the Heaven Camp, and Xiao Fan was the most likely heir of the Xiao clan. Both were prominent figures in their eyes. For Chu Feng to speak so casually suggested he himself was no ordinary youth.

What shocked them most was that he had insulted the Eastern King without hesitation—something none of them would dare.

The four exchanged uneasy glances, realizing this matter was not as simple as they’d thought.

“No, this unknown brat is just bluffing!” Lu Yu’an thought, quickly regaining composure. He glared at Chu Feng and shouted, “Shameless thief! How dare you boast so boldly, even insulting the lofty Eastern King? Clearly, you’re courting death!”

At his words, the four immediately took battle stances, transforming their spiritual energy and preparing to strike.

Chu Feng showed no fear. Lu Yu’an’s Earth Camp origin meant nothing to him; even if all four were from the Earth Camp, they posed no threat.

Chu Feng had faced many spiritual warriors and could gauge their strength by their aura. Among them, Lu Yu’an’s was strongest—likely a late-stage fourth-tier Earth Spiritual Warrior. The other two were mid-stage fourth-tier, and the last only third-tier.

To Chu Feng, the two mid-stage warriors would be hard-pressed to match Yu Wenfeng, further proof of the Heaven Camp’s extraordinary talent.

With the four arrayed for battle, Chu Feng stood calmly, watching them with cool eyes. “So you all think my quiet demeanor makes me easy prey? You mistake a tiger’s silence for weakness. Today, I’ll show you the gap between Heaven Camp and Earth Camp!”

“What? Heaven Camp?” The four trembled. If he was truly a Heaven Camp talent, they had picked the wrong fight.

But there was no time for second thoughts. Chu Feng attacked in an instant.

Though the four reacted quickly, gathering spiritual energy and unleashing their techniques, they were utterly incapable of stopping him.

Chu Feng charged forward, his fist plain and unadorned. With a single blow, he shattered the attack of a mid-stage fourth-tier Earth Spiritual Warrior, his punch landing squarely on the man’s chest.

With a scream, the man was sent flying, left too weak to rise.

Barely had he landed when another mid-stage warrior followed, hurled aside with a cry, never to stand again.

Next, Chu Feng spun and struck, catching the third-tier warrior across the face, sending him spinning, utterly disoriented.

Three men fell in mere breaths. Chu Feng turned to Lu Yu’an, whose face had gone pale, legs trembling, his arrogance gone.

Lu Yu’an was thoroughly terrified. After his spiritual technique was so effortlessly broken, he was left with no will to fight.

He felt his heart and liver quaking. Who was this man, to be so powerful without spiritual transformation—bare-handed, no less? It was known that one’s power without transformation was but a fraction of their strength when transformed.

In Lu Yu’an’s eyes, even among Heaven Camp’s prodigies, this was a strength unheard of for someone so young. He judged Chu Feng to be a ninth-tier Earth Spiritual Warrior, or even a Heavenly Warrior. Unbeknownst to him, he was simply frightening himself, for Chu Feng could not transform at all.

As Chu Feng approached, Lu Yu’an felt his mouth go dry, lacking even the courage to retreat. He stammered, “Y-you—big brother, it’s a misunderstanding!”

“A misunderstanding?” Chu Feng smiled faintly. “Let it remain so, then.”

“Big brother, I was wrong! Have mercy!” Lu Yu’an cried, regretting his actions bitterly.

“No problem, no problem,” Chu Feng replied, grinning as he rushed forward and knocked Lu Yu’an to the ground, raining blows upon him, finishing with a few stomps.

Looking at the battered Lu Yu’an, Chu Feng finally felt a surge of satisfaction.

Normally calm and composed, Chu Feng had never been so irate. Encountering such shameless people, he could not let it go unpunished; simply letting them off would leave him uncomfortable.

“You thought I was easy prey, did you?” Chu Feng looked at the four groaning on the ground, took a deep breath, exhaled slowly, and shook his head. “The world is so beautiful, yet I am so irritable. Not good, not good.”

“No, it’s very good. Act as you will, follow your nature. The Sword Path says so, and it seems I’ve done quite well,” Chu Feng smiled, a touch of self-satisfaction on his lips, nodded quietly, and left without another glance.

The four, writhing on the ground, watched Chu Feng depart and finally breathed a sigh of relief. Their frustration was beyond words; it was as if they had swallowed bitterness without complaint. They knew this pain was theirs to endure, and as for revenge, it was out of the question.
