Chapter 130: The Spirit of the Profound Moon Bow
“Uh!” Faced with Xu Yan’s expression, Chu Feng could only offer an awkward smile, feeling somewhat uneasy inside.
Xu Yan simply couldn’t stand it any longer. She patted Xiao Jin on the shoulder and said, “Hey, beautiful, you should mind your image—put on some clothes first.”
Chu Feng immediately looked toward Xu Yan with a grateful gaze. However, both he and Xu Yan were stunned when Xiao Jin curiously turned to look at Xu Yan and said, “Why do I have to wear clothes? Xiao Jin has always been like this!”
“Wearing clothes is naturally to cover your body; otherwise, it would be so embarrassing!” Xu Yan responded, exasperated.
Xiao Jin released Chu Feng, glanced at her own body, and even cupped her proud bosom, staring blankly as she asked, “Why cover the body? Does it mean Chu Feng doesn’t like it?”
With such an action from Xiao Jin, how could Chu Feng remain calm? He was practically about to burst a blood vessel. As for Xu Yan, she was so furious she ground her teeth and trembled, glaring fiercely at Xiao Jin’s ample chest. Inwardly, she thought, “This is deliberate, absolutely deliberate. How infuriating! Just because you’re a little older, you think you can flaunt it freely? Ah! Ah! Ah!”
“You savage! Look at you, your eyeballs are about to pop out! Close your eyes right now,” Xu Yan shouted at Chu Feng.
Though reluctant, Chu Feng closed his eyes. He hadn’t expected Xiao Jin to be so innocent, but on second thought, it made sense. After all, Xiao Jin had never come into contact with the outside world. Though highly intelligent even before birth and able to understand human speech, she knew nothing of social norms. He said, “Xiao Jin, when you go outside, you have to wear clothes. Otherwise, people will laugh at you.”
“Oh, that’s how it is. But I don’t have any clothes,” Xiao Jin replied.
“I have some!” Xu Yan was on the verge of losing her mind just looking at Xiao Jin. She immediately took out a pink outfit from her storage pouch and personally helped Xiao Jin put it on.
“Thank you!” Xiao Jin hugged Xu Yan warmly, expressing her gratitude.
Xu Yan was speechless inside. Xiao Jin appeared mature, yet her heart was as pure as a child’s.
At that moment, Chu Feng opened his eyes, wearing a wry smile as he said to Xu Yan, “She’s simply never been exposed to the outside world. Once someone teaches her, I believe she’ll truly grow up before long.”
“Hey, Chu Feng, have you encountered the Mystic Moon Bow?” Xiao Jin asked after noticing the glove on Chu Feng’s hand.
“You know the Mystic Moon Bow?” Chu Feng asked curiously. Though the bow originated here, it had been taken by a human warrior thousands of years ago—how could Xiao Jin possibly know about it?
Xiao Jin thought for a moment, then said, “I remember long ago, shortly after I awoke, someone broke in and fought Peng Bo. In the end, they took the Mystic Moon Bow.”
Chu Feng gasped, his heart pounding. That event had happened ten thousand years ago. Could Xiao Jin be an ancestor-level entity who had spent ten millennia inside a Golden Sunstone shell?
Chu Feng then considered that the Mystic Moon Valley was left by the first Demon Emperor, Feng Yao, who was the greatest general under the Human Emperor’s reign. By Chu Feng’s estimation, Feng Yao was at least comparable to the venerable Yu Yang, perhaps even stronger.
Having reached his current level, Chu Feng’s perspective had naturally changed. He felt the Mystic Moon Valley could not be understood by ordinary logic.
Ten thousand years — whether human or demon — no matter how extraordinary, it seemed impossible to survive so long. Although demons lived longer, according to Chu Feng’s knowledge, even the Demon Emperor Dragon Zhan had only lived for a few thousand years at best.
As for Xiao Jin, Chu Feng considered one possibility: she might be a descendant of Feng Yao, perhaps sealed within the Golden Sunstone for some reason, thus enduring into later generations.
“Xiao Jin, was the Golden Sunstone you stayed in a phoenix egg or something else?” Chu Feng inquired.
Xiao Jin replied, “According to the inherited memories, it wasn’t a phoenix egg. But I don’t really know what it was.”
Not a phoenix egg—this only further confirmed Chu Feng’s speculation. Hearing of inherited memories, both Xu Yan and Chu Feng grew very curious.

“What are inherited memories?” Chu Feng asked.
It turned out that among the demon clans—like the dragon, phoenix, and qilin clans blessed by the heavens—there was a remarkable gift called inheritance.
Before offspring were born, parents could implant important information, such as cultivation techniques and secrets, into their children’s memories.
In other words, the offspring would already inherit part of the previous generation’s memories upon birth. This was called inherited memory.
These memories lay hidden in the subconscious. Because the information was vast, it wouldn’t all awaken at once but gradually surfaced as the offspring matured.
Xiao Jin knew about the Mystic Moon Bow and how she was able to retrieve the little box because of these inherited memories.
When Chu Feng inquired about the Mystic Moon Bow and the connection forged through the glove, Xiao Jin explained that the bow was a divine artifact, famed as the sole divine weapon in her inherited memories.
Though the artifact possessed a spirit, the spirit was not within the bow itself, but separated. The separated spirit of the Mystic Moon Bow was forged into the glove—the very mysterious glove Chu Feng wore.
The glove was the core of the Mystic Moon Bow. Only by mastering the glove could one truly control the bow and unleash its full power.
Therefore, Xiao Jin wasn’t worried about the bow’s loss. As long as the glove existed, reclaiming the bow was only a matter of time.
Learning all this, Chu Feng suddenly understood and was deeply impressed. No wonder the glove could completely counter the Mystic Moon Bow, and no wonder wearing it felt like a bloodline connection even without ritual refinement.
Divine artifacts had spirits that could choose their owners, and Chu Feng had clearly earned the recognition of the Mystic Moon Bow’s spirit.
Could the Mystic Moon Bow have been Feng Yao’s weapon? And why was it called the sole divine artifact? Did the Human Emperor lack divine weapons, or perhaps he no longer needed them?
To Chu Feng, being called the sole divine artifact likely referred to ancient times. From what he knew, the dragon flame sword and the cosmic cauldron were the divine weapons of the human and demon races respectively in later generations.
When Chu Feng asked about the Human Emperor or Feng Yao, Xiao Jin knew nothing. Those terms seemed absent from her current memories.
“My inherited memories still have much that hasn’t awakened. Perhaps I’ll learn more in the future,” Xiao Jin said.
She glanced at Chu Feng’s glove, then at the bronze door, adding, “I didn’t expect you to get the glove so quickly. That means you can enter and take a look. It might be a great opportunity for you.”
Chu Feng was startled, looking at the bronze door and then at Xiao Jin. “You can open that door?”
Xiao Jin nodded gently, “I know the incantation to open it. With my current strength, I can barely manage it.”
“That door is a deadly gate! Do you know its secret?” Chu Feng asked, wary. He had once touched that gate and felt extreme danger.
Xiao Jin shook her head, “Not entirely, but not completely ignorant either. I sense that the secrets lie in my unawakened inherited memories. With what I know, there’s no real danger inside, and there’s a place related to the spirit of the Mystic Moon Bow.”
Chu Feng understood then why Xiao Jin wanted to bring him inside after he obtained the bow’s spirit—it was to lead him to the place connected to the bow’s spirit.
According to Xiao Jin, Chu Feng might attain great fortune there. Chu Feng found it hard to believe—could anything surpass the fortune of gaining a divine artifact’s spirit?

Meanwhile, Xu Yan had been lost in thought, overwhelmed by confusion and shock at everything here, unsure what to say or do.
“In that case, let’s go in and see. I want to know what’s behind this door,” Chu Feng said.
His greatest mystery remained Xiao Jin. After all, she was a phoenix, a demon blessed by heaven. Although Chu Feng knew Xiao Jin was kind-hearted, he didn’t understand why she would go to such lengths for a mere human like him.
After a moment of silence, Chu Feng spoke, “Xiao Jin, I’m heading to the human borderlands. Would you like to come with me?”
Xiao Jin nodded repeatedly, “Of course! Didn’t we already agree before?”
Chu Feng hesitated but said, “You know I’m human and you’re a demon. I’m going to the borderlands to fight demons. Even so, will you still come?”
Without hesitation, Xiao Jin nodded and patted her chest, “Whether demon or human, if they’re Chu Feng’s enemy, they’re mine too.”
Chu Feng was touched. When he first met Xiao Jin, he felt a strange closeness and trust toward her. Now it seemed Xiao Jin felt the same, though he couldn’t understand why.
Watching their exchange, Xu Yan felt a twinge of jealousy. She glared at Chu Feng and blurted, “What’s so great about that guy? Why do you have to stick to him?”
Chu Feng was speechless but curious about why Xiao Jin depended on him so much.
Xiao Jin seemed momentarily at a loss but then hugged Chu Feng again, her delicate jade-like cheeks brushing affectionately against his face as she said, “I don’t know why either. I just like Chu Feng and want to be with him!”
“Ahem! Ahem!” Xu Yan coughed twice. “Miss, please mind your image!”
But Xiao Jin paid no attention, clinging to Chu Feng as if unwilling to let go.
Chu Feng looked embarrassed and smiled wryly at Xu Yan, only to feel her murderous glare.
“Uh, Xiao Jin, I want to tell you something,” Chu Feng said, gently pushing her away.
Xiao Jin released him and blinked her lively eyes. “What is it?”
“How about I give you a different name? ‘Xiao Jin’ sounds like a boy’s name,” Chu Feng said.
“Sure! As long as Chu Feng likes it, anything’s fine,” Xiao Jin replied.
“Then I’ll call you Xiao Feng,” Chu Feng smiled softly.
“Okay, Xiao Jin will be Xiao Feng from now on,” she agreed.
After introducing Xiao Feng to Xu Yan, Chu Feng looked at the bronze door and said, “Let’s go inside and take a look!”
