Chapter 86: The Hidden Treasure of the Xuantian Sect!
“What are you going to do?”
Chen Hengxi trembled as he watched Qin Feng approach. Meeting Qin Feng’s gaze, he shivered inwardly, his lips quivering as he spoke.
“Tell me, what is this map?”
Qin Feng kicked Chen Hengxi, sending him sprawling to the ground before planting a foot firmly on his chest, his voice icy.
“I... don’t... know.”
Chen Hengxi panted violently, his chest rising and falling as he struggled to speak.
With a thunderous stomp, Qin Feng drove his foot down, crushing Chen Hengxi into the mountainside. The force shattered his organs, snuffing out his life instantly.
“Tell me, what is this map?”
Qin Feng strode over to the last surviving commander, his tone cold and unforgiving.
“I...”
Lou Guanshang’s forehead was slick with cold sweat, too terrified to answer.
“There’s no need to be nervous,” Qin Feng said. “You’re the only one left alive—I won’t let you die so easily. If you refuse to speak, I’ll make you taste real torture. Do you know about death by a thousand cuts, waist-chopping, chili water, roasting alive... Have you heard of any of these?”
Looking down on Lou Guanshang, Qin Feng’s lips curled into a chilling sneer. He had never shown mercy to his enemies.
“I’ll talk! Everything you want to know—I’ll tell you all of it.”
Lou Guanshang, fully aware of the tortures Qin Feng named—and terrified for that very reason—shuddered and spoke quickly.
“Very good! A wise man knows when to yield. I never intended to kill you, but you hate me deeply. If I spare you, you’ll seek revenge. I have no choice but to kill you. Tell me the origin of this map, and I’ll grant you a swift end.”
Qin Feng nodded, satisfied with Lou Guanshang’s cooperation, his voice steady.
Lou Guanshang’s mouth twitched at these words, but he knew he had no choice.
“This map is a treasure map from the Xuantian Sect, a sect that flourished a thousand years ago. There are nine pieces in total—this is one of them. The Xuantian Sect was once the most powerful sect within the Great Chu Dynasty, unmatched and peerless, with Human Sovereign level experts presiding over it. They dominated their peers but declined and perished for unknown reasons. One treasure map was left behind, and it’s rumored to show the location of the Xuantian Sect’s treasure! The Prince believes that within the treasure lies a technique to break through to the Human Sovereign realm, so he’s been seeking all nine pieces of the map.”
Lou Guanshang recounted all that he knew.
“So it really is something valuable.”
Qin Feng gazed at the fragment in his hand, then carefully tucked it away. “How many pieces does the Northern Martial King possess?” he asked, his eyes sharp.
“That’s not something I know,” Lou Guanshang replied, shaking his head softly.
“What of the Northern Martial King’s strength? Are there any other Human Sovereign-level experts in his household?”
Qin Feng nodded, his eyes gleaming with understanding as he pressed further.
“The Prince’s cultivation is unfathomable. He has reached the late stage of the Human Sovereign realm and his combat strength is formidable. As for whether there are other Human Sovereign experts in the Northern Martial King’s household, I don’t know. I’ve never seen any others there.”
Lou Guanshang answered without hesitation. Most of the secrets had already spilled from his lips, and he felt no further burden.
In a flash, Qin Feng’s foot lashed out, striking Lou Guanshang with lightning speed and force, exploding his body in an instant.
“I didn’t expect this map in my hand to be so precious. When news of the three sects’ destruction reaches the Northern Martial King’s mansion, he’ll likely come himself next time. My strength is more than enough against these commanders, but if I face a Human Sovereign—especially one in the late stage—I’ll stand no chance. I must continue cultivating, and raise my strength as quickly as possible. What I lack most now are resources and a Human Sovereign-level technique.”
As Qin Feng cleared the battlefield, urgency filled his heart while he assessed the challenges ahead.
“It seems most of the Chiyang Sect’s wealth has already been taken away. If that’s the case here, I suspect the Beast King Sect and Supreme Sect have suffered the same fate,” he thought, combing every corner of Chiyang Mountain. A trace of disappointment glimmered in his eyes as he completed his search.
Aside from the bodies of the twelve commanders, which still had some valuables, the rest of the Chiyang Sect held nothing of worth.
“The Chiyang Body Tempering Art.”
“Five hundred thousand taels of gold!”
“Two thousand-year-old spiritual herbs.”
“The Beast Taming Art.”
“Worn armor and weapons.”
Qin Feng organized the spoils of his search, loading the gathered armor and weapons into a carriage. The materials looked promising, and he wondered if he might refine them into a mighty halberd.
“Hyah!”
Qin Feng drove five unicorn horses, hurrying toward Xuanzhou City.
“Xiaofeng!”
“Young Master!”
“Lord Qin!”
“Feng’er!”
After Qin Feng left, Qin Tianyun, Qin Zhongkai, Murong Wei, Wang Fu, Wang Bao, Yan Chonghu, Shi Tie, and the others did not return to the Qin family. Instead, they waited atop the city walls. Apart from greeting Chu Tianfa when he arrived, they spent the rest of the time standing vigil, gazing into the distance.
When they saw the distant carriage approaching, and especially when they recognized Qin Feng’s bloodstained figure, joy lit up their faces. They hurried to the city gates.
“Could he really have destroyed all three sects by himself?”
Gao Yunxiao stood on the city wall, watching Qin Feng’s approach, his mind racing as he saw the blood covering Qin Feng’s body.
“No, that’s impossible. No matter how strong Commander Qin is, he couldn’t have wiped out all three sects single-handedly. Something else must have happened.”
He quickly dismissed the unrealistic thought, then called out, “Open the gates!”
At his command, the soldiers swiftly opened the city gates.
“Xiaofeng?”
“Feng’er?”
“Lord Qin?”
Qin Tianyun, Murong Wei, Shi Tie, and the other martial artists dashed out of the city, gathering around Qin Feng with anxious eyes.
“Xiaofeng, how are your injuries?”
Their worry deepened at the sight of his blood-soaked figure. Qin Tianyun quickly stepped forward to ask.
“They’re all superficial—my organs are unharmed. With a little rest, I’ll recover.”
Qin Feng spoke calmly. He did not mention that, though the blood looked frightening, his wounds had already healed nearly forty percent. It was best not to reveal the extraordinary resilience of his body.
“Hurry, escort Xiaofeng back to the Qin household to recover.”
Qin Tianyun, his mind still filled with concern, wasted no time. He beckoned Qin Zhongkai, Yan Chonghu, Shi Tie, and the others to help escort Qin Feng home.
