Early the next morning, Mordo knocked on Arthur’s door, rousing him from a drowsy sleep. Arthur yawned as he opened the door, unaccustomed to being awakened abruptly—he was used to waking naturally each day.

“Freshen up and come down for breakfast. Then we’ll start the morning lessons,” Mordo said to Arthur before turning to knock on Wanda’s door.

Arthur washed up and felt much more alert. He changed into the apprentice robes prepared in his room and went to Wanda’s chamber to wait for her. Women generally took a bit longer to get ready than men.

Wanda emerged dressed in her apprentice robes—a dark red ensemble that suited her taste perfectly. Hand in hand, Arthur and Wanda headed toward the kitchen. Many others were already having breakfast. The meal—soy milk and fried bread rings—had a distinct Nepalese flair, a style Arthur was beginning to grow fond of.

After breakfast, everyone gathered in a classroom for magic lessons. The setting reminded Arthur of Harry Potter, except this place was infused with a Chinese aesthetic.

The other apprentices were curious about the newcomers, especially Wanda. Her striking beauty had drawn the interest of many male students, a pleasant sight amid the otherwise dull magic school routine. Wanda noticed the gazes and frowned slightly, but Arthur gently squeezed her hand, reassuring her not to mind.

The morning class was Defense Magic. A male instructor, resembling an ancient Taoist from a Chinese fantasy drama, explained the basics of conjuring a magical shield.

Arthur listened attentively; it was his first time attending such a class. The teacher was clearly from China, delivering the lesson steeped in Chinese cultural nuances and peppered with idioms.

Wanda, however, was puzzled by the idioms but, thanks to her remarkable magical talent, quickly grasped the use of the magical shield. She was even tempted to experiment beyond the classroom.

The second session was practical. Everyone moved to the courtyard to try conjuring their magical shields. The apprentices, having studied for some time, all effortlessly summoned their shields.

Arthur closed his eyes, reaching out to the cosmic energies. Water control was his specialty, so this was no challenge. Under the spell’s influence, a blue shield materialized on his arm.

His shield’s color drew attention—unlike the others’ orange shields, his was blue. What was going on?

Wanda also summoned her shield easily, but hers was composed of her own chaotic energy—a dark red shield.

These two newcomers not only succeeded on their first day but displayed shields unlike anyone else’s: one blue, one red—both strikingly unique.

Even the teachers couldn’t explain the difference; they simply sensed these two were special.

Only the Sorcerer Supreme, standing at a distance, shook her head. Their shields were fine, but the magic she taught drew energy from the multiverse, while Wanda evidently wielded her own chaotic energy. Arthur possessed a unique energy source, drawing from water.

She refrained from correcting them, knowing they were not wrong—just different. From her perspective, as long as one could control their magical energy—be it dark or light—it was acceptable.

Karma Mordo was likewise startled. He knew these two were Avengers, but didn’t expect them to learn so quickly. It had taken him over a week just to barely produce his first spell. Were these two magical prodigies?

After lunch and a two-hour break, Arthur and Wanda, who had no habit of napping, strolled leisurely around Kamar-Taj, hand in hand.

Unlike others, they lacked an intense thirst for study. Arthur was rather laid-back, enjoying the magic classes and the student life alongside Wanda.

This was in stark contrast to Stephen Strange, who had abandoned classes upon arrival, focusing solely on his studies to heal his wounds.

Arthur savored every moment. That afternoon, he learned a minor offensive spell, marking the end of his first day.

Dinner was a surprise—Chinese cuisine. With so many Chinese at Kamar-Taj, Arthur felt a growing sense of belonging.

Afterward, Arthur and Wanda visited the library to see Wong, borrowing basic magic texts.

Wong only lent them books on the history of basic magic, deeming them not yet ready for advanced tomes.

Arthur was unbothered. The Avengers had no urgent tasks for him at the moment, and he planned to stay at Kamar-Taj for some time. Exploring the history of magic seemed worthwhile.

If Steve Rogers knew Arthur’s attitude, he’d surely be furious—Steve was overwhelmed daily with Avengers’ affairs, and Arthur’s indifference, coupled with his casual remarks, would only deepen his frustration.

Thus, Arthur and Wanda spent a week immersed in life as magic students at Kamar-Taj.

One day, Arthur sought out the Sorcerer Supreme for a talk.

“What can I do for you?” she asked.

“I want to ask you to teach Wanda how to master chaos magic. I know you can,” Arthur said.

“The power of her chaos is too great. If she masters chaos magic and falls, no one could stop her,” the Sorcerer Supreme hesitated.

“Our Earth faces powerful enemies. So many Infinity Stones have appeared here—you must sense something unusual,” Arthur replied.

“I cannot see the future. My fate is soon to end, so I cannot know what is to come,” she said.

“That’s why I want you to help Wanda learn chaos magic, so she can wield power against evil. I believe she can control it,” Arthur insisted.

“Very well. I once kept a Chaos Codex—a tome with magical knowledge not suited for ordinary learners. It’s stored in the library. Retrieve it and give it to Wanda,” she finally agreed.

“Thank you. Actually, I have one more request,” Arthur said, a little embarrassed.

“You want to learn to traverse the multiverse?” the Sorcerer Supreme immediately saw through his desire to return to his original world.

“Yes. I want to find a way back,” Arthur admitted.

“The multiverse is mysterious and elusive. Learn the fundamentals of magic well first. When you have accumulated enough knowledge, I will teach you how to use the multiverse teleportation array,” she instructed.

“Understood,” Arthur replied.

From then on, Wanda attended private lessons with the Sorcerer Supreme daily, studying the Chaos Codex.

Arthur diligently attended his classes and studied magic on his own at night.

Thus, their days at Kamar-Taj unfolded, one after another.
