Chapter 21: Just Because You Touched Me

The handsome man froze, his hand holding the wineglass stopping midair. He looked at Su Jinyu plaintively. “Jinyu, your friend is so fierce!”
Su Jinyu, who had been flirting enthusiastically with another handsome man, gave an awkward smile. “You’ll have to put in a little effort. My friend is just a bit reserved. She isn’t used to places like this.”
Hearing that, the man edged closer to Shi Yi. “Beautiful, don’t be nervous. You’re out to have fun, so relax. Come on, let me feed you some wine.”
“I told you to stay away from me!”
Shi Yi shifted to the side, irritation creeping into her voice. She had never expected that male escorts really existed in this world. If she ever wanted to keep one, that charming young man from earlier would be more than enough. She had no interest whatsoever in these ugly, crooked melons.
The handsome man said, half coy and half aggrieved, “Beautiful, relax. I’m not going to eat you.”
“Get lost!” Shi Yi shouted at him.
She had not expected the alcohol to pack such a punch. Wanting to leave, Shi Yi tried several times to stand but failed. Enduring the pain, she pinched her thigh with her darkened fingertips, attempting to keep herself conscious.
Su Jinyu, you menace—are you trying to get me killed?!
The handsome man caught the movement. He slowly moved closer and tried to drape an arm over her shoulder, his voice ingratiating. “Beautiful, where does it hurt? Let me help you.”
Shi Yi turned away from him. “Get lost. I don’t need your help.”
The handsome man smiled in disappointment. His hand lingered in midair for quite some time before he finally withdrew it.
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Su Jinyu sat down beside Shi Yi and tried to comfort her. “Yiyi, don’t be so restrained. You’re single now, so you can have as much fun as you like, understand? Stop thinking about that scumbag Chu. Come on, let’s celebrate. Long live being single!”
“Who says I’m thinking about that scumbag Chu?” Shi Yi lowered her thick lashes, a thin layer of frost settling over her eyes.
Only the original owner, with her hopelessly love-addled mind, had liked Chu the Scumbag. To Shi Yi, Chu the Scumbag was nothing but a fart.
Just then, a tall figure approached, carrying a sharp, bone-chilling coldness.
“Yiyi, stop pretending you’re fine. Listen to your bestie—find a handsome man and sleep with him. Do whatever you want afterward—”
Su Jinyu reached out to push her. Caught off guard, Shi Yi fell straight into the arms of the handsome man beside her.
The man immediately became interested. Taking advantage of the situation, he wrapped an arm around her waist and leaned in to kiss her.
Shi Yi pressed her elbow against his chest to keep him away.
Unfortunately, the man clung tightly to her arm. Both her hands were injured, and after several drinks her muscles had gone weak. For a moment, she could not push him off.
As Ling Siye came closer, he saw Shi Yi embracing and kissing another man.
Those red lips he had once tasted—sweet as if coated in honey—were now being kissed by someone else.
Ling Siye felt as though his entire body, his very heart, had fallen into an icy abyss.

The man stood there coldly, an urge to kill surging through him.
He strode forward, seized the beer on the table, and smashed it down on the handsome man’s head with a resounding crash.
The man had suffered a truly miserable fate. He had not even managed to kiss her, yet he had been beaten for no reason, splitting his head open as blood streamed down his forehead.
Unable to hold back, he cursed. “Fuck! Who the hell are you?”
The moment Shi Yi saw Ling Siye, she regained a little clarity. She kicked the handsome man away and used the sofa to pull herself to her feet.
Ling Siye stepped forward and caught the unsteady Shi Yi in his arms. Turning his head, he instructed He Wen behind him, “Deal with it.”
He Wen quickly stepped forward, grabbed the handsome man by the collar, and dragged him outside. A moment later, a series of agonized howls rang out.
Su Jinyu looked at Ling Siye, her eyes widening slightly in astonishment. “You’re Ling Siye? Young Master Ling?”
Shi Yi laughed carelessly. “Him? He’s just the Ling family’s fake heir.”
Su Jinyu screamed inwardly.
Fake heir? He was the genuine eldest young master of the Ling family—the future heir to Ling Corporation.
A huge ball of fury smoldered inside Ling Siye. He cast a cold glance at Su Jinyu and demanded, “You’re the one who brought her to a place like this?”
A freezing gust seemed to sweep across Su Jinyu’s face.
Even the turtles in a wishing pond would never have believed that Shi Yi had somehow become involved with the capital’s most powerful young heir.
“No, it wasn’t me! I—I won’t ever dare do it again…” Su Jinyu’s face turned deathly pale with fright.
Her family’s hospital relied entirely on funding from the Ling family. She would never dare offend this princeling.
Ling Siye lifted Shi Yi into his arms and turned to leave.
Rage rampaged through every cell in his body.
Did Shi Yi have any place for him in her heart at all? After divorcing Chu Yifan, she had begun degrading herself like this. Could it be that she still had not given up on Chu Yifan?
The scene had caused the entire bar to erupt. Song Jia had spotted her idol and was beside herself with excitement.
But when she saw Ling Siye carrying Shi Yi away, veins throbbed on her forehead with anger.
She stamped her foot. “Isn’t the eldest young master of the Ling family supposed to be an abstinent Buddha? Why would he leave carrying that woman?”
A dark shadow rose in Shi Yan’s eyes. Shi Yi had occupied the position of the Shi family’s heiress for so many years, and now she even wanted to steal the man Shi Yan had set her sights on. She would never allow it.
She took out her phone and called Shi Haochen. “Dad, that young master of the Ling family you mentioned last time—I’ve set my sights on him…”

Outside the bar, the driver was waiting by the entrance. He opened the door, and Ling Siye carried Shi Yi into the car.
The vehicle started moving.
The driver asked, “Young Master Ling, where are we going?”
Ling Siye was silent for a moment before replying, “Back to Moon Bay Villa.”
Moon Bay was his private villa. Ling Siye thought to himself that if Shi Yi kept thinking about men she should not be thinking about, he would raise her there and forbid her from going anywhere until she completely fell in love with him.
“Yes, Young Master Ling,” the driver replied.
Shi Yi remained silent. Ling Siye poked her on the head and gave a self-mocking laugh. “Your hands are injured, yet you still run around everywhere. You even came here looking for men?”
Shi Yi rested her head against his shoulder and spoke in a soft voice. “No, I didn’t. If I wanted a man, wouldn’t I just come straight to you?”
Ling Siye: “…”
He cursed himself for being so pathetic. A great ball of fire had gathered in his chest, yet a single teasing sentence from her had dispelled more than half of it.
From the front passenger seat, He Wen watched the two of them through the rearview mirror, his gossip-hungry eyes darting back and forth.
Why was this cold-faced man, who seemed like Yama himself, so gentle in Miss Shi’s presence?
As the privacy screen slowly rose, He Wen could no longer hear a single word, no matter how keenly he strained his ears.
“Where did he kiss you?” Ling Siye asked, his face dark.
“How could I possibly let him kiss me? What are you talking about?” Shi Yi raised her brows at Ling Siye, indignation written across her lovely face.
Ling Siye’s expression eased somewhat. He took out a disinfecting wipe and began wiping her clothes. He was extremely thorough, leaving no corner untouched.
At last, he swept out an arm and pulled Shi Yi into his embrace. “Yiyi, remember this. Aside from me, don’t let any other man touch you. Understand?”
Shi Yi’s eyes widened slightly. “Why should I?”
Ling Siye rubbed her head and said gently, “Because you’ve touched me, and I’ll take care of myself too. I absolutely won’t let any other woman come near me.”
Shi Yi’s expression changed faintly. She struggled free of his embrace. “Hey, young master, do you even know how old I am?”
