Chapter 79 Take Off Your Clothes!
Hua Qinci felt both diminutive and dreamlike, allowing Qin Youtian to leave his fragrant breath upon her skin. The warmth brought by the flames grew ever hotter, but not as fierce as the fire burning in the hearts of the two cats entangled together. The deeper they fell, the harder it was to extricate themselves.
“Cousin!” At the most critical moment, the first to rush into the cave was Liu Bingbing, followed closely by Wei Dachun. After searching for a long while without success, the group had split up. Liu Bingbing and her companions came to check the cave, while the others went to search elsewhere.
Wei Dachun, upon witnessing that scene of spring passion, quickly covered his eyes and darted out. Outside, Liu Qingyun and the others were held back by Wei Dachun. Liu Bingbing remained standing alone, gazing at Hua Qinci’s flushed cheeks, watching as she stubbornly burrowed into Qin Youtian’s strong chest. Qin Youtian’s firm arms were wrapped tightly around her, enveloping her completely, and for a long moment, Liu Bingbing was too stunned to react.
Qin Youtian was mortified; deep within his eyes, a flicker of anger and restlessness was barely contained as he stared at Liu Bingbing. When she did not avert her gaze, he shouted irritably, “Take off your coat!”
“Oh!” At the sound of Qin Youtian’s voice, Liu Bingbing’s face turned crimson. Flustered and confused, she removed her outer garment without thinking. Truth be told, no matter the time or place, if Qin Youtian ordered her to undress, she would do so at once, caring little if she was left with nothing.
She had worn an extra layer that evening, knowing the mountain air would be cold. After removing one garment, she reached for a second, but Qin Youtian frowned in annoyance.
He truly did not know how to instruct Liu Bingbing out of her occasional foolishness. “Get out!” he barked.
“Huh?” Liu Bingbing blinked.
Qin Youtian averted his gaze, refusing to look at her. Noticing his dark expression, and catching sight of Hua Qinci’s bare shoulders, Liu Bingbing suddenly understood why he had told her to remove her coat. Though she was angry, she also felt ashamed. She quickly covered her eyes and spun around, fleeing the cave.
Once she had left, Qin Youtian hastily picked up a garment, shook the dust from it, and helped Hua Qinci dress. Only then did he pull on his own clothes and call out, “You can come in now!”
Their private moment disrupted, Qin Youtian’s frustration had nowhere to go. He could only hold Hua Qinci tightly in his arms, determined not to let anyone see her in such a state.
Liu Bingbing did not dare to re-enter; this time, it was Liu Qingyun and Wei San’er who came in.
“Cici!” Liu Qingyun rushed into the cave, calling Hua Qinci’s name in alarm. But seeing her held so closely by Qin Youtian, he halted, unable to help himself.
“Cousin… is Cici… is she all right?” he asked awkwardly, torn between concern and a sense of uselessness.
Yet he was unwilling to give up. His sister, Liu Bingbing, had always assured him that Cousin Qin Youtian did not care for Hua Qinci, and that Qin Mingyue disliked her as well. She said Hua Qinci suffered in the Qin household, and that just this morning, Qin Mingyue had driven her out. By nightfall, Hua Qinci would be forced to leave alone, and Qin Youtian and Qin Mingyue would tell everyone she’d been devoured by wild beasts.
Liu Qingyun had already prepared his belongings, waiting for Hua Qinci to leave the Qin house so that he could elope with her.
But he had waited until deep into the night.
Now, seeing this tender scene, and recalling the way Wei Dachun had hastily exited blushing, refusing to let any man enter, Liu Qingyun could easily guess what had just transpired.
At this moment, he wanted nothing more than to rush over and give Qin Youtian a sound beating.
He had bullied his dear Cici!
