Chapter 1: The Evil Dragon Breaks Out of Prison!
“Beast! Get off your mother-in-law right now!”
“You heartless, immoral beast! Look at what you’ve done!”
Duan Lingxiao’s eyes snapped open to find himself lying atop his fiancée’s mother, Jiang Wanrong, her alluring figure completely exposed, trembling beneath him.
Her graceful body was mottled with bruises, cheeks flushed, and her tear-filled eyes still retained a trace of mature charm.
Her hands had raked bloody lines across his chest.
In the corner, his sworn brother Xiao Longhu lay lifeless, a knife plunged through his heart, eyes wide open in death.
Duan Lingxiao was struck by overwhelming shock and confusion.
All around him, cold and indifferent eyes stared without emotion.
Before he could speak, over thirty armed guards stormed in, rapidly taking him into custody.
“This is a breaking news report. According to official sources, on the morning of September 12, 2021, Duan Lingxiao, the youngest Champion Marquis in the history of the Dragon Nation, assaulted his mother-in-law in a drunken rage and murdered his deputy, Xiao Longhu. His martial arts abilities have been stripped, and he has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Prison Zero!”
…
Five years later.
Prison Zero.
Seven grotesque villains encircled a handsome young man, admiration in their eyes. “Lingxiao, your War God Art has reached the seventh level. You can finally leave prison and shake the world!”
The leader of the seven, a white-haired, shriveled figure shrouded in shadow, his body sealed in restraints, did not move his lips, yet his voice thundered in Duan Lingxiao’s ears like a storm.
“You’ve mastered the Thirteen Needles of the Ghost Valley Medical Sage and the King of Hell’s Life-Borrowing Needle! Whoever you wish to save, not even the King of Hell can take; whoever you wish to kill, the King of Hell cannot keep!”
The second villain wore a mask and stitched a dying wild rabbit with a thin needle. In the blink of an eye, the rabbit sprang up and vanished, full of life.
“Your lightness skill is unmatched. The Dragon Soaring Nine Heavens technique I taught you will let you roam the world at ease.”
The third villain, both legs severed, picked his nose indifferently.
“Your mastery of the Dragon Fist is complete—one punch rivals a heavy war mech! My Dragon Emperor Ring, too, is now yours.”
The fourth villain was a slovenly man with both arms missing, chewing betel nut as he spoke.
“You’re immune to all poisons now. Here’s the Medicine King’s Compendium, with every prescription, elixir, and toxin formula passed to you! And don’t forget the beauty formulas—soon, you’ll be every woman’s confidant!”
The fifth villain, his body oozing with sores, let a stream of foul green fluid dribble from his lips. As he spoke, he stuffed a centipede as thick as a child’s arm into his mouth, crunching it with relish.
“There are seven marriage contracts here, all prepared for you. Each woman is breathtaking, capable of toppling nations. Whether you win their hearts depends on your own skill.”
The sixth villain furtively pulled a few filthy cards from his grime-encrusted coat and slipped them to Duan Lingxiao as though hawking clandestine wares.
“This is the Angel Hall token. With it, you can command every Angel to fight for you. Of course, if you want to bed them, you’ll have to rely on your own abilities…”
The last villain was a woman, clad in coarse hemp robes, her face concealed by a hood, but her voice was pure and melodious as an immortal song, enchanting all who heard it.
“Masters, thank you for your training over the past five years. Without you, I wouldn’t possess such skills! I will never forget your kindness.”
Duan Lingxiao bowed respectfully to the Seven Villains.
Gratitude welled in his heart.
No matter what others thought of them, to him, they had been truly good.
Though disabled, their power was unrivaled—only cruel fate had twisted them into their present forms.
“Enough talk. Go out and throw the world into chaos!” The armless, unkempt man who always called himself a peerless warrior now wiped his eyes, grumbling, “Damn it, where’s all this dust coming from?”
“That’s right. If you don’t become invincible, don’t call yourself our disciple—we couldn’t bear the shame! If anyone bullies you, just come back and tell us. We’ll back you up!”
Even the seventh villain’s voice was choked with emotion.
“Yes!”
Duan Lingxiao stood, his body surging with power like a dragon bursting from the sea, a fierce aura erupting from within.
Five long years!
At eighteen, he’d enlisted; at nineteen, he’d entered the elite “Dragon Fang” special forces; six months later, he became their leader.
At twenty-one, he led eight thousand battered soldiers to sweep the southwestern war zone, annihilated thirty thousand enemy armored troops, secured the borders, and became the youngest Champion Marquis in history.
Yet, five years ago, on the day of his triumphant return, his fiancée’s family plotted his ruin.
At the victory banquet, they poisoned him and threw him onto Jiang Wanrong’s bed.
When he awoke, Jiang Wanrong’s hair was disheveled, her clothes torn, her body bruised and battered.
His sworn brother Xiao Longhu had been decapitated, his heart impaled with Duan Lingxiao’s own dagger.
His prospective father-in-law, Murong Xiongba, personally destroyed his martial foundation. His fiancée tore up their betrothal contract before his eyes.
And he himself was thrown into prison with lightning speed.
Everything happened so fast it defied belief.
For five years, he had endured and trained, all to discover the truth, to take revenge, to settle blood for blood!
“Murong Xiongba, Jiang Wanrong, Murong Wanxue… You wretches never imagined that the deepest reaches of Prison Zero concealed the Seven Supreme Villains!”
“You never dreamed that I would master all their peerless skills!”
At first, the Seven Villains had treated him as a plaything, tormenting him near to death, but he held fast, earning their respect and their secrets. They healed his wounds and taught him everything.
The War God Art gave him the strongest inner power under heaven!
With the Dragon Soaring Body Technique and the Dragon Fist, his martial prowess reached unfathomable heights!
Not to mention supreme medical arts, formation mastery, and the secrets of forging.
Each villain was a legend in their own right; Duan Lingxiao had become their living synthesis.
“This boy has learned all seven of our unique skills. This world is about to be turned upside down!”
After his departure, the Seven Villains of Prison Zero murmured, “Still, we must prepare for the coming calamity…”
…
Three days later, Jiangnan City.
The Xiao Family Villa.
Duan Lingxiao stood tall, eyes deep and cold. Suddenly, a glint of icy fury flashed across his gaze.
The once glorious estate was now overrun with weeds, reduced to desolation.
Duan Lingxiao’s resolute features were shrouded in gloom, his eyes heavy.
“With Longhu dead, the Xiao family has fallen so far. Longhu followed me through countless battles, his merits unmatched—who would have thought it would come to this?”
“I wonder what’s happened to Xiao Mengxue these five years? Longhu’s parents died long ago; she was his only sister.”
“After Longhu’s murder, her fate must have been grim. Where could she be now?”
Suddenly, a scream pierced the air.
Duan Lingxiao’s eyes narrowed as he strode swiftly toward the source of the sound.
“Ah! Ahhh! No, don’t! Stay away! You beasts, get away from me!”
Cowering in the corner of the courtyard wall, Xiao Mengxue’s voice was ragged, her face streaked with tears.
Her clothing was in tatters, barely covering her, her body exposed.
Chains bound her, making her little better than a dog kept in captivity.
Before her, a bowl of foul, leftover scraps emitted a nauseating stench.
“Hahaha! Once the proud young lady of the Xiao family, now you’re kneeling like a mutt before us—how exciting!”
“Xiao Mengxue, you still think you’re the highborn miss? Let me tell you, now you’re just a pet for our Young Master Lu—a bitch trained to bark on command!”
“Our master’s wedding is about to begin. We’re here to take you over—you’ll serve as a guard dog at the entrance to the ceremony!”
Several burly men in black leered down at Xiao Mengxue, their predatory eyes glinting with malice.
The leader, a middle-aged man, was the Lu family’s steward in Jiangnan, and his gaze was filthy beyond compare.
Just then, Xiao Mengxue slowly raised her head.
To their shock, her face was utterly disfigured, crawling with centipede-like scars, grotesque and terrifying.
“I would rather die than go! Even as a vengeful spirit, I’ll make sure you monsters die horribly!”
Xiao Mengxue’s voice was bitter with rage.
Her family destroyed, she had transformed from a stunning heiress into a hideous, scarred woman.
“Brother, I miss you… I miss you so much…”
Tears streamed down her disfigured face.
“Heh, you think refusing means you won’t go? Keep dreaming!”
With that, Steward Lu yanked viciously on the chain around her neck, leaving angry red marks.
In the next instant, he roughly tore away the last shreds of her clothing.
“Ugly as you are, I like something different—let’s see how a fallen heiress tastes!”
